Vindré a recollir-te.

Tres Xemenèies, Sant Adrià del Besòs

Vindré a recollir-te (I’ll Come to Pick You Up) presents the design of a theatrical set conceived for the emblematic industrial space of the Tres Xemeneies in Sant Adrià de Besòs. Built around a tragic narrative —written specifically as part of the project— the story follows two brothers: one deeply connected to the landscape and nature of Mallorca, and the other to the construction of working-class Barcelona. Through their relationship, the project explores the connections between Brutalist architecture, industrial memory, and visual poetry.

The scenography avoids any invasive intervention in the existing space and instead unfolds through a series of highly symbolic elements. Suspended canvases evoke the movement and presence of the sea; a large luminous sphere recreates the passage of the sun, suggesting the inexorable flow of time; while a series of staircase structures introduce a sense of instability, ascent, and descent, becoming metaphors for the characters’ fate.

The project also proposes an immersive experience in which the spectator’s position becomes a dramaturgical element. The audience is divided into two observation areas, symbolically associated with Barcelona and Mallorca. Each perspective establishes a different relationship with the space, the scenographic elements, and the characters, meaning that the viewer’s position directly shapes both the visual perception and emotional reading of the conflict.

Vindré a recollir-te transforms the industrial architecture into an active part of the dramaturgy, creating a scenographic experience in which space, memory, and landscape converge. The spectator does not simply observe the performance but, from their own position, constructs a personal perspective on the drama and on the distance — both physical and emotional — that separates these two worlds.
